Originally designed by Eames and manufactured by the Herman Miller in 1951.It is often refer to as the Bikini Chair because of the outlook of the chair  with  the upholstery fitting.Eames was inspired  by the shape of his DSR fibreglass side chair.The DKR  Chair is build in a single seat shell of lighter-cauge wire forming the rim of the chair which is chrome plated,legs of tubular steel in Eiffel tower sillought,fitted with a cups rubber to provide extra stability.contraction and protecting the soft surface of your floor.The DKR is extreemly strong,light wieght and the transparancy of the chair inspired by the idea of light travelling through space.Eames DKR was the first American mechanical patent for chair design.It is a true classic chair that will compliment any modern living space and add a vision of modern elegancy and classic style.Our DKR reproductions  are a high quality to the original design,taking care of all the details that made this iconic chair a trully classic design.Available in stock with a leather seat and backrest pikini upholstery for extra smoothness.
